Keeping Cool Over the 4th of July

Johnstone Supply 48 Marketing

Use Your Ceiling Fans

Setting your ceiling fan to rotate counterclockwise pushes cool air downward. This is a great low-cost way to keep your rooms cooler on hot summer days.

Cover Your Windows

Summertime sunshine is a great mood booster but letting it stream through your windows can warm your home up quickly. Invest in window coverings for all your sun-facing windows and keep the blinds closed when the sun is shining!

Cook Outside

4th of July and grilling go hand in hand so take advantage! Hot ovens and boiling pots can heat up your home so fire up the grill and test out some new grill recipes.

Change Your HVAC Filter

Do you remember the last time you changed your HVAC filter? If not, it’s time to replace it! We recommend checking it every month and keeping a few filters on hand to easily swap a new one in. A dirty filter restricts air flow making it harder for your home to stay cool, especially on those hot July days.

We offer after-hours services if your Air Conditioner decides to quit over the long weekend. Give us a call if you need us!

As an HVAC Contractor, we know keeping your home cool is essential. Use ceiling fans, close blinds during the day, and seal windows and doors. Regular HVAC maintenance and smart thermostat settings help your system work efficiently. These tips ensure a comfortable, energy-efficient home all summer long.
